Discussion...

Okay well to update you on my WW this week it's been 4 weeks. I have lost only .5 lbs this week oh well at least I lost. I am now down 7 lbs which I am very happy about.

Okay so I need to ask this question I am always searching online about different things I came across surrogacy today and wondered what everyone thought about it. There is differnt kinds of surrogacy the one that I would like to discuss is what they call gestational surrogacy. That is where the egg and sperm come from the intended parents and the surrogacy is just carrying the baby because the intended mom can not carry the baby for medical reasons. Well I'm just intersted in a discussion what everyone thinks about this please put your input in here and if you have questions I'll try to find an anwser for you. Oh by the way yes it is legal in Canada I did read that. I'm just intersted in other peoples opinions of who I know not opinions of people that I read on line. Anways I'm just yapping here so tell me what you think!

Yah, so I think that it really takes a special person to carry a baby for 9 months and then pass it on, no strings attached. I myself couldn't do that for someone. I think that some people have so little in choices and that the option might work out for them though. I do beleive that although it is legal in Canada to be a surrogate or hire one, that it is ILLEGAL to pay someone or be paid to do this.

I have an older sister that my mom gave up for adoption. I haven't met her but I do know that she is unable to carry children. I have said many time that I wish I could carry a baby for her if that was what she would want but I know deep down that I wouldn't be able to give the baby up. There is such a bond in those 9 months. It really does take a special person to do this for someone else.

If you asked anyone who did this, they would probably tell you that giving up the baby after 9 months is the hardest thing that they ever had to do. I couldn't do it. It would feel like your own. Thats my take on the subject.
